Supportive Breakfast!

Here is an awesome breakfast idea for you to try. Take a Flax Waffle (available at Fortinos in the Health Food Section). Top with cottage cheese and fruit yogourt. Sprinkle ground flax seed on top for added crunch and an amazing source of essential fatty acids (EFA's) which help your body to burn fat and hold onto muscle. Enjoy with a cup of coffee and get on with your day. Supportive eating is not hard, it just takes some thought.

Saw your show today-actually worked on your show today with Jamie West-looks like an easy prep& metabolism friendly breakfast, but after I read the blogs I was scared to try the fitness programs-sounds like a Marine Course....I am an older specimen(well not that much older) and have cholesterol and circulatory problems-also weak knee cartilage-is there anything that will help and not do more damage????like rehab??????haha

Hey there! Thanks for your comments, we had a blast doing the show. Don't be scared by what you see on the blogs, it's just us having a little "fun"! :)

We really do tailor everything that we do and have a very wide range of clients, including older adults with arthritis, fibromyalgia and other limitations. The great thing about personal training is how different the programming is from one person to the next.

Cholesterol and cardio issues can definetely be helped through general fitness training along with appropriate endurance exercise as well as things like circuit training. In fact, Jamie has seen a huge change in his cholesterol reading over the months that he has become active. HDL (good cholesterol) tends to go up with regular exercise. I myself had my knee scoped in November so I am well versed in training around cartilage issues. Although I must restrict many activities that are potentially damaging, I am training as hard as ever.
